It would never be expected that well-served traditional tea could be found on an island in the Bahamas, but one would be surprised. Both the quality of the food and service were excellent. The appetizing display of tea sandwiches were made from fresh ingredients. Recipes are changed daily by Chef John Lotarsky, and the devonshire cream is prepared fifteen minutes prior to the serving of tea. The dessert array and the scones were the best we had in the island. After our afternoon tea experience, we walked around the premises and throughout the garden. It was very tranquil and private, unlike most other resorts. Afternoon tea is served from three to five o'clock, and no reservation is required. |
