British Colonial Hilton
The British Colonial Hilton is the
oldest hotel in Nassau, having been
built over a hundred years ago in
1901. It even has movie roles in two
James Bond movies: Thunderball
and Never Say Never Again!
Afternoon tea is served in the Palm
Court Lounge. A two story high
ceiling room with columns and faux
palm trees accented the room. I am
not quite sure if the time of year had
any influence on the atmosphere, but
we were the only people present in
the lounge at the time.
The afternoon tea is served from
three to five o'clock in the afternoon.
There is a wide array of teas,
including unique island blends with
rum that cannot be found in many
other afternoon teas. Some examples
include banana and pineapple. The
warm scones with the preserves, the
tea sandwiches and the pastries were
serve on an individual Wedgewood
plates. No reservation needs to be
made as well.
